Nyla Witmore is a full time painter and art teacher living in Boulder, Colorado, Her paintings are produced "plein-air" (on site) or in the studio through resource photos gathered from her many trips to France, Italy, Australia and the southwestern United States. 

Nyla is also an accomplished abstract artist.  Sometimes this influence can be seen in her choice of subject matter or impressionist compositions using abstract design elements.  In the abstract genre, Nyla is known for original abstract paintings as well as "interpretive" abstract paintings created to music.
